I have reworked the first movement to my harp concerto in C Major:

I find it difficult to achieve great results in the classical venue (which is what I have composed in for over 40 years). The instruments are very exposed and every minute detail comes out. I don't "hear" this problem when I listen to romantic music or theatrical music using VSL instruments.
I'm thinking it's my shortcomings concerning "playing" the VSL instruments! After all, I have only been using VSL for about a 6-7 months. To play the violin well requires a lifetime of dedication... why should VSL instruments be any different? So I will continue to apply VSL to my compositions and learn to not only use the software but attempt to perfect my "playing" the instruments.
In any case, I believe I am way better than my initial attempts with VSL... so I will keep on plugging. The first movement to my Harp Concerto represents my latest attempts. Thanks.
