  • NI Komplete9 : Program Change works with Kontakt, but not the other VSTi's

If anyone has any insight on this issue, I would appreciate knowing what you know. I am using VEP5 to host my NI Komplete9 VSTi's, and have recently had a glitch I need to resolve regarding MIDI Program Change. Within VEP5, I have a large Kontakt5 Multi of instrument banks, and they receive and respond just fine to the MIDI program change commands I send them. Within the same instance of VEP5, I also have occurrences of Massive, FM8, Absynth, etc., but while they receive the program changes (the selected preset in the browser moves appropriately) they unfortunately do NOT respond to MIDI program change. The sounds aren't changing along with the MIDI program change. This is a big problem for me. I recently had to downgrade my version of Cubase, because there are known issues with this, but even de-installing (with AppTrap) and re-installing an earlier version (v7.0.6) of Cubase didn't fix it. I'm at a loss, need some assistance, and look forward to getting this resolved. Thanks, Glennzone

  • As far as I remember Program Changes are gone from VST3, so you need to make sure you are using the VST2 version of VEP5 in Cubase...

  • Using the VST2 version of VE Pro 5.13240, I got Absynth 5.2 to change patches through program change from Cubase controller lane.

  • That is Cubase 5.5.3 in OSX.6.8. Known issue with C7 you say?

I don't work with Program Change, and always connect to VST3 VE Pro, so that's about what I'm prepared to do. Absynth happens to be easy.

  • NM, in the other thread you said it was working until recently.

    Trash Cubase preferences.

  • Issue is resolved. It turned out to be corruption in the Program List (.PLS) files in Komplete9. I had to re-create the files, but since then, I haven't had any issues. Thanks all the same, just for being involved, Glennzone
