  • Instruments go back to default articulation every time I hit stop or there's a note off message...

Hi There! I need some help here. I'm working with the following setup: - Cubase 7.5.3. - VePro 5.3.1333. - VI Pro 2.4.12844. - Vienna Dimension Strings. - Expression Maps provided by VSL. - Presets provided by VSL. - OSX Mavericks 10.9.4 - Mac Pro 2009 When I press stop, or when the note finishes playing (note off), the instruments go back to the default articulation, in this case Sustain with vibrato. It happens with the five sections (Violins 1 and 2, violas, celli and Basses) I tried to uncheck and check again the Latch mode in the expression maps setup menu, but nothing works. It keeps on changing. And, if I press the spacebar button twice, I mean, to stop and play again, the instruments go to the correct articulation. I don't know if there's some configuration I've missed or what happens, but if someone can shed some light in this matter, it would be great, because I've already done what I think that could work. Thanks very much in advance! Miguel

  • All you need to do is to open the expression map editor and add an empty sound slot at the very top of the list. So the default sound will trigger nothing.

  • Hi,

It's a Cubase 7.5.3 thing, no remedy yet. You will have to roll back to 7.5.2 to make it pick up the right articulations again,

  • Hey Fred, thanks a lot! It solved the problem, and so fast! Thank you very much again. Now everything work like a charm. So is it a 7.5.3 problem? i could swear that before I updated it didn't happen. But Fred's trick works perfect. Let's wait for an update. Thanks gkruse for the information. Cheers!
