  • E | G | VW - Music of Elgar, Grainger and Vaughan Williams - Featuring VSL and Notion

Here's a link to an online press kit for my upcoming album E | G | VW: Music of Elgar, Grainger, and Vaughan Williams.  This album will be released November 1 on iTunes, Google Play and other digital outlets, and will contain 13 tracks of music created with Notion and Vienna Symphonic Libraries.

For my friends here on the VSL board, here's a link to all the album tracks:

Of course, feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for listening as always and enjoy!

  • This is quite pleasant british late romantic music. I like it's deep melodic breathing very much.

Did you produce the recordings directly in Notion or with another Sequencer ?

  • Thanks, Fahl5.  All the work here was done in Notion.  The recordings are made directly from the notation, with Notion driving VE ensembles containing VSL instruments.  No other DAW or sequencer was used.

I use VE Ensembles (up to 8 for some pieces) which contain VIPro instruments (up to 18 intstruments each for the dimension strings including duplicate instruments for divisi).

  • Even if G.A.Bendas Concertos are by far not as wellknown as Mozarts those recordings are definitly not the first. I think there are at least two or three other recordings of each available. But they still complete pretty well my presentation of G.A.Benda on klassik-resampled and in my ears they deserve to be much more heard.

  • This post of Yalmaz is a simply stupid fakepost, what copies parts of my posting about my Bendarecordings here which has defenitly nothing to do with the music which is discussed here see the original thread:

    http://vsl.co.at/community/posts/t38164-Three-Harpsichord---and-Piano--Concertos-by-G-A-Benda--1722-1795#post231689

    My original text was:

"Even if G.A.Bendas Concertos are by far not as wellknown as Mozarts those recordings are definitly not the first. I think there are at least two or three other recordings of each available. Yalmaz has said absolutly nothing own and nothing contributing anbything to the music which is discussed here. I tried to report this, but the repport function does not work at all, that why I post the problem here. I hope an admin is looking here.
