    Hello people! I hope this message finds all of you well :D I am facing a little problem here trying to run VEP server in order to open VEP on my host (Cubase 7.5). This morning I purchased MIR Pro 24 in order to play around with the reverb, but after I installed it my VEP Server will run and stuck on "Starting Vienna Ensemble Pro..." message for ever. Any ideas? I have installed my whole VSL libraries and Software on a 2TB WD Black Caviar which is connected directly on my motherboard through a SATA III cable 6Mbit/s. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit with the latest updates i7-3930K 6 core 32GB Ram overclocked at 2133MHz Samsung 850 Pro SSD 120GB for my OS and Cubase GTX 760 nVidia 2GB My audio interface is Focusrite Safire Liquid 56 connected to Mytek Stereo ADC 96 Latest drivers checked, all updates checked and still my VEP Server won't run :/ I would appreciate any help or ideas please!     Hello Chris,

    That sounds strange.

    Do you have any severe anti-virus software / firewalls installed (you can disconnect from the internet to check if that helps)? Especially some freeware software can get in the way....

    I assume that you can see your VE PRO and MIR PRO licenses in the eLicenser Control Center, is that correct?

    Could it be that you purchased the MIRx Venues instead of MIR PRO RoomPacks by mistake?

    I see that you have ordered a demo license for RoomPack 3 as well, did you also install the RoomPack Content yet?

    Hello Paul, Thank you very much for you reply. I am using only the Windows Defender which comes with the windows. And yes you are right, I can see the VE PRO as well as MIR PRO licenses in the eLicenser Control Center. Is the MIRx Venues won't work with the MIR PRO? And yes I installed the RoomPack Content and used it several times but only on the stand alone VE PRO. I was actually thinking of going back to Windows 7 Pro 64bit if that would be a better idea? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Chris

    No, MIRx works with Vienna Instruments / PRO, and if you have the corresponding MIR PRO ROOMPACKS, they are also available within MIR PRO. 

    Did you try to switch off the Windows Defender, just to test (disconnect from the internet, please)?

    Hi Paul, I decided to downgrade my windows and switch off anything that has to do with the internet. I am still working on a few maintenance tricks and I will try tomorrow all the recommended settings and keep you updated. Thanks for your support!
