  • Holiday Bundle Discounts and Third Party US Retailers

Re: The Holiday Specials, I see that if on the VSL website I view a bundle that includes something I already own I will see the bundle discounted to reflect what I already own. But how does that work if as a US customer I were to purchase through US third party distributors?

  • I think the answer to your question is some bad news....

  • Hi,

Our dealers have access to our Online Dealer Interface, which lets them calculate those prices for you.

Thanks, Paul. So I guess it would be best to order by phone instead of online, so I can alert them to check that database before pricing any order.

  • Interesting, thanks for the info!  Is Ilio the only official US dealer who would be able to do this?  Thanks!

  • Paul,
I am interested in upgrading to the “Complete Special Editions Bundle” and adding the new “Additional Winds Bundle Full” which are both in the current sale.  Help me out if you would please.  I'm still trying to fully understand the upgrades.  I see that I am apparently eligible for upgrade pricing on both of these bundles.  My question is, are these bundles overlapping or otherwise related in such a way that purchasing one might affect the upgrade pricing of the other?  In other words, would it matter in which order I purchase them and/or would purchasing one possibly reduce the price of the other?  I can see where owning the Complete Special Editions Bundle, e.g., might make a difference in the Additional Winds Bundle pricing, whereas currently I am lacking Special Editions Volume 4 (this is based on the presumption that Special Editions ownership is what is qualifying me for the Additional Winds Bundle upgrade pricing).  Similarly, is there possible overlapping of the instruments between Special Editions Vol 4 (which I would be adding) and the Additional Winds Bundle Full such that it might affect its pricing.  Appreciate any clarification you can provide.  Hoping to purchase before the sale is off tomorrow.

     --Donny

  • Hi Donny,

just add the Special Edition Bundle first to the basket, and afterwards the Additional Winds Bundle, you will see that you get a little more disount on the Additonal Winds Bundle.

Generally you can test out different purchase setups just putting products into the basket and than checking out prices on any of the product pages. Products placed in basket are included in the discount calculations of all products.

  • Thanks a bunch.  Got them purchased and currently downloading  :-)

Paul, just noticed the Voucher product on your new website. (I don't know if it's new or I just missed it before.)

The language suggests that they are only usable on the Vienna webstore. Does this mean that US dealers will NOT be able to sell Vouchers for redemption at their own websites?

    Hi,

Yes, these Vienna Vouchers work exclusively with the Vienna Webstore.

  • Paul, I've been ready to upgrade to the full (new/expanded) collection for a few weeks, but was patiently waiting for a response from one of the authorized resellers, thinking they were just busy around the holiday time.

The problem is that your website is incomplete, so I've been scared to buy direct off the website.

As near as I can tell, for someone who owns all of your products except for the stuff just released (and the one-off Muted Bb Trumpet from a bit ago), the best deal is to upgrade to the Vienna Super Package.

The problem is the the info page doesn't list the Muted Bb Trumpet, but does list the full Voices Package (which includes the new Solo Voices), whereas the details page lists the Bb Muted Trumpet but doesn't list the Solo Voices.

I thought after a few weeks, this inconsistency would have been corrected, but with the discount deadline fast approaching, time is a-wasting, so I thought I'd better get clarification from the horse's mouth.

Separately, the Euro is quite low right now, but I don't know whether the resellers currently use the same amount in dollars or whether there is no monetary advantage to buying from one of them vs. direct from the website. I prefer to buy directly from vendors unless there's a strong case not to; the fewer middlemen, the more solvent the vendors can be (especially relevant given the unexpected demise this week of Camel Audio).

  • The Sample Content Lists of Super Package have now been updated, including the new Solo Voices and Whistler articulations.

  • Herb,

Thanks so much for clarifying, and for updating the products pages to be accurate and consistent.

I upgraded to the full Vienna Super Package via the website just now, along with the full Vienna SOftware Package as that ended up being a very affordable way to go from Vienna MIR Pro 24 to Vienna MIR Pro (unlimited).

I'm really looking forward to the new solo voices! This may help me get motivated to return to working on my long-delayed Mass, which if I wait too long will have to become my Requiem. :-)

  • The only problem I had, is that there's no license activation code for Epic Orchestra, which is listed as part of the package. I do know it was originally offered as an incentive to people who bought later releases of Vienna Ensemble Pro (or something like that -- I had already bought before the promotion that included Epic Ochestra) and that it duplicates content from other packages, but it could be a good time-saver in early-to-mid stages of certain projects, so would be nice to have if it is really intended to be part of the Super Package for all upgrade customers and not just new customers.

  • Thanks, Paul and Herb. I wouldn't have been upset if I wasn't eligible, so mostly wanted to alert you in case you needed to update the product page to be more accurate.

Epic Orchestra is registered and installed now, and will be used on one or two of my Doctor Who influenced (and in some cases rearranged "original source material" from the show) instrumentals, where I don't need refined articulations or phrasing and need to work quickly. :-)

  • How can i get the Epic Orchestra

I can Dounload the files but i can not install it

  • Hello kohlhtor,

Epic Orchestra is not available separately. We made a big exception here, as mhschmieder has ALL our products already.

In general, exceptions are much better handled via email.

    Best,
    Paul
