    hello,
i would like to build a work station (PC) and be able to use all of my programmes (see the list below) in order to compose music.
if i use a Xeon (E3 or E5) processor and 32GB RAM is it going to work?

vienna symphonic library: special edition (more than 15 channels)
    spectrasonics: trillian, omnisphere, stylus rmx
    reFX: nexus 2
8dio: requiem professional, hybrid tools bundle, epic percussion bundle
audioease: altiverb 7 (once for each channel)

external hardware synthesizer: moog slim phatty, dsi tetra

  • Hello too,

I am also interested in what are nowadays suitable items to have in a PC/workstation used with mainly VSL.

In my case that is not with zilloins of tracks, but still I would like to make something that would last a couple of years.

Would anybody know of a "website" with such information for notably work with VSL ?

Digital AudionetworX offers great audio workstations - I have one of theirs for 4 years now and am very happy with it.

  • Thanks for the response.

(its hard to choose between extending my instruments and a PC that can handle 'm; maybe I try getting a used rig)
