  • A Question Regarding Solo Voices!

I just saw the news today, and man I'm so excited. I own so many soloist libraries and they all have their touch and faults. However, as a long time fan of Vienna stuff!!!! I am sure the solo voices must live up to the supreme quality of everything else I own! 90% of the stuff I compose with today is Vienna. TBH, I fell in love with the Apassionata Strings, they make up most of my work, I'm your biggest fan to the Appassionata Strings!

Now... my question is... are you guys going to separate the solo voices into smaller individual groups like what you did for the Soprano Choir? The reason why I ask is because I will only ever need the alto and soprano soloists. I don't want to spend all that money for a full library where I will never use the rest of the soloists. I think having the option of buying what you will use will be very beneficial for customers who also are looking for only selected voices.

Anyways, I am really excited! Please get some demos soon! :D

    Regards,

    Richard

  • I was under the impression that the Soprano Choir was actually a completely separate library than the full choir, as in separate samples, rather than a subset of the choir.

  • You my be right, I assumed they just took the samples from the actual full choir sopranos.

  • Hi,

The Soprano Choir is a completely separate product, recorded and released before the Vienna Choir.

Regarding seprate solo voices: No plans right now to split those up.

  • Thanks for the quick reply. Dang, I was hoping you guys would do something like that. Perhaps sometime in the future? One downfall with all the soloist libraries I own is that they use Kontakt, and I dislike that sampler, it's so buggy and always crashes on me. Out of all the years I have been using the Vienna Player I have not had one single crash. I spent like 170 on a piano library for Kontakt, and I am just thinking of buying your piano library to replace it just because I am sick and tired of the stability issues with Kontakt. I really do hope in the future you guys make single instruments out of the voices.

  • I would like to see them separated as well but I understand why they wouldn't.  Some collections just work better as a full set, mainly strings and voices.
