    Can I use VSL as a plugin with Digital Performer v. 8? Are there any issues I should know about? For the moment it would be on one Windows 7 PC with 8G ram. (Eventually I am considering adding a 2nd PC.) In other words, for now there will be no external (hardware) midi connections; everything will take place on my one machine.

    Hi Alan,

    I use DP8 on Mac Pro with 32GB of ram.  Although MIR Pro (and formerly Vienna Ensemble 64) runs fine as a plugin (presumably on a PC as well), I find I can run a much larger and smoother session by running it as a stand-alone, routing midi to the MIR channels via the built-in IAC driver (on PC use the free software LoopBe1 software) and the audio back into DP via either hardware or software routing.  I can't recall what is available on the PC side re inter-application audio routing, but a quick search should give some options.
