  • 32-BIT VE PRO 5 Plugin Missing from Menu

New to VE PRO 5.  64-Bit working nicely.  I wanted to try 32-Bit version with a few old plugins for recall purposes.  Previously did not have any 32-Bit plugins installed on this machine as it was built from new and did not support 32-Bit (aside from VE PRO 5).  Tried to install old version of Albino (synth).  Install worked, plugin shows up in its repective locations, component/VST, etc. but I can not get it to show up in the VE PRO 5 plugin menu.  Tried to rescan plugins under preferences, no change.  Also tried to see if I could get it to show up (even as failed validation) in Logic AU manager but it will not appear anywhere since its 32-Bit.

What am I missing?  Any ideas?  If I can get this to work there are a few other old plugins I'd like to install.  Thanks for any help/tips.

  • It might not work under 10.9 at all. I have things which don't happen at all under 10.8.

  • Thats what I am afraid of.  Hoping there is a work around.  Will keep searching.

  • Hi,

Did you check that you were opening the 64 bit VE PRO Server for 64 plug-ins and the 32 bit VE PRO Server for 32 bit plug-ins?

There are no VST plug-ins available in VE PRO on OS X.

  • Yes I have launched the respective 64 bit and 32 bit servers.  But the old 32 bit plugin I installed as a test will not show up in the 32 bit server plugin options.  I am leaning towards what a previous poster said that being on OSX Mavericks 10.9 the system itself will not acknowledge the 32 bit plugin.  Again, even though it does show up in  the system plugin folder it doesn't seem to acknowledge its existence otherwise.

  • Hello John,

I have just installed the latest Albino 3.2.1 on my 10.9.5 iMac and it appears and operates fine in VE Pro 5 32-bit.

Which exact version of Albino have you installed?

    Best, Marnix

  • Thanks Marnix, thats good news.  This unfortunately is not Albino 3, its albino 2.2.1.  Not sure if that makes a differnece or not.  I believe Albino 3 was a paid update with serial number so I don't think I can update to that version to try it.
