  • Vienna Key

    Hello Paul. Thanks for always being so helpful. I have my Vienna key license on a steinberg drive. I'm attempting to try out the VE Pro 5 demo & it's asking me to add a Vienna key. I didn't know if it wasn't reading from my Mac but I'm getting the same message on my PC. My perviously purchased products show in my registered products page. Do I have to purchase an additional Vienna license for the demo or product?

    So your key doesn´t show up in the eLicenser Control Center anymore? 

    Generally, we always recommend to connect the key directly to the computer, as USB hubs can sometimes cause problems (especially if they don't have a separate power supply). 

    If you're working on a Mac, you also might want to try resetting your USB ports: disconnect ALL cables from the tower, wait 30 seconds, and reconnect all cables. Now your USB ports might recognize the key again.

    If that doesn´t help, please contact me directly at support@vsl.co.at, we´ll take it from there (and find out if the key is maybe broken).

  • Good evening Paul. Thanks again. We got a second Steinburg key & registered it at VSL. Since we have the Pro 5 demo for now, is that why we can only have one license for it (currently on our Mac)? I'm trying to work out the kinks before I purchase Ensemble Pro 5 (multi-license). I have the two computers networking via an Ethernet cord but showing  connections on either computer. An online video doesn't help me troubleshoot beyond that. What am I missing?

    To test with 1 slave computer, you need the license to be on the slave computer.

    The VE PRO SERVER INTERFACE plug-in on the master computer does not need a license. 

    To check the performance on the master computer, you can simply move the key.
