  • How to stop Logic opening multiple VEPro frames?

I am using Logic X with VEPro plug ins and VEPro server running on one rMBP.

I have things set up successfully, including articulation selection via track lane automation thanks to the amazing Audio Grocery toolkit and Ivan's help.

I am using VEPro server like this so I can easily use a slave as an option without rebuilding my template.

If I open Logic first, then open VEPro server, open my metaframe of two instances, then go to the VEPro plug in instances and connect and select those instances, everything is fine.

But, as soon as I try to switch Logic projects, or if I open VEPro server and the metaframe before Logic, then multiple "local host" instances get opened of those instances.

I have tried various combinations of preserve and couple - what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

  • Hello Target,

Your instances need to be named identically (the "preserved" name) and it needs to be saved in your song this way. The other parameter for VE PRO to connect to instances is the IP address (which is always the same for the localhost).

    Best,
    Paul

Yes, great. Save the plug in setting in Logic with the same name as the instance!

    Result!
