I finally got around to updateing VE PRO 5.
To my disappointment my Cubase sequence use to open in 2:40 .... now it is 3:04. A fair amount longer when nothing has changed but the VE PRO 5 version that claims to have faster connection times.
I would love to see it go back to 2:40.......
Any thoughts on why it now takes longer to open my sequence?
Conection time a load time are two different things. VI does the loading, not VE
I think you missed the point....... nothing changed except a new version of VE PRO that caused my sequence to load significanly slower. That would lead me to believe that Vienna made some changes that actually slowed the load of my sequence.
Loading normally refers to loading instruments inside VEP. What you describe is connection times (e.g how long the DAW takes to connect to VEP), that's why there some confusion.
FWIS I noticed this thread becuase *I am* having slower loading times when VEP loads my Kontak instruments. I also know some people used to have connection issues, but I think this has been resolved.
