  • Long note triggered VI Pro twice for no reason ?

I use VI pro with VSL solo strings I in Cubase 7, and I noticed that when I draw a long note, the keyboard interface of VI Pro will sometimes be triggered again after the note ends. This causes an unwanted short note after the long note for no reason. I have checked the midi editor and event list in cubase and there is no extra note event after this long note. I have no idea how this happens. In fact, I have run into the same problem quite often.

Any solutions ? Thank you so much.

  • Hello Alex,

The legato notes of the Solo Strings are not looped, they are played back as long as they last, and there is a release sample that is triggered when you end the note. Some notes end a bit earlier, and if the Note OFF is triffered just a little bit after the note ended, the Release Sample will be triggered.

To make a note of the Solo Strings longer, please re-trigger it (best with a held sustain pedal to bridge the gap), this way you will get a bow change repetition.

    Best,
