  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece. Very sophisticated and nicely done with VSL.

Also I just found your writings on music theory in your website. Look forward to reading them !

  • Glad you enjoyed my piece.  :-)

  • This is terrific Alan.  Both musically and rendering.  Very realistic sounding.  I assume you have a full version of the clarinet as the timbre changes are pretty subtle and natural sounding as they would be with a live player.

  • By means of this I got introduced to your other works.

I am listening to your symphony no 3, http://alanbelkinmusic.com/MP3/S3a.mp3....a lot of Prokofiev's influence, but less harsh in my opinion (no offense to the great Prokofiev, just referring to his orchestration style)

    And the string quartets...sound beautiful.

I have lots to learn. Thank you!

  • Glad you like it. Actually I have only the part of the clarinet which is in the special edition. But I worked a lot on the phrasing.  :-)

  • Glad you like the quartets, which are NOT simulations.

I have done some full orchestral simulations. Here is the most recent one, the 3rd movement of my 5th symphony:

    Best,

  • S5C is awesome. I am not sophisticated enough to comment on the music itself...it has very complex harmonies and beautiful orchestration.

I like the rendering. It is hard to tell this is virtual and good to know that this is possible with VSl.
