  • Attack phase at Bb Clarinet sustain patch

I noticed that the Bb Clarinet, but also Bass Clarinet have an extremely slow attack phase at their sustain patches. Transients are unrecognisable. It is so severe that this can not be fixed with a staccato or portato layer unlike other patches. I found this especially strange because all of the other instruments in my SE Vol. 1 volume bundle do not have this problem. The legato patch is also not a good solution for that. First of all, the first note will still slowly fade in, second, legato sounds different than non-legato. I expect this problem exists in the full library, too?

Have there ever been any requests in fixing this?

  • Hello Daniel,

I have the same feeling about the Clarinet sustain patch: did you find a solution?

    Thanks!

  • I think the full library of the clarinet will give you other options in regards to sustaining.

I have full versions of the Bb Soprano and Bass clarinets. After upgrading, I noticed that I had more options than previously found in the SE.
