Hi. I've tried to use external controllers + smart controls in Logic (and the equivalent in Cubase and Studio One) with little success. I don't know if I am using the proper term but it looks like VI Pro is not "publishing" data that would allow these methods to work properly. I describe my experience with Cubase in detail in another thread. It is easy to get other VSTs to work with these systems, and these methods greatly facilitate assigning physical controllers to control instrument parameters. If I am right, is there a reason why the instruments are designed this way? More importantly, are there any plans to change this? Thank you.
