• [SOLVED] VEPRO 5 crashes when cubase 6. 7.5 & Cubase 8 start up on my project

Hi I am using Mac pro 5.1 OSX 10.8.5 48gig of ram Dante soundcard my mixer is my soundcard Cubase 8 - 8.0.0 build 397 64bit Nov 2014 I use Cubase 6. 7.5 and 8......previously cubase 6 and 7.5 were fairly stable with VEPRO but cubase 8 has not really been stable, many crashes. However I recently updated VEPRO ensemble 5 to 5.4.13845 and now in my project VEPRO crashes it seems more than before when cubase 7.5 or 8 is loading the samples. I start VEPRO first then Cubase and VEPRO crashes 10 times and then some time after all thecrashes it does not crash and loads and works. Can someone please tell me what is going on. I am kind of getting very agitated by all these problems of conflicting programs. I was thinking to revert to prevous build of VEPRO 5. I just want to know why VEPRO keeps on crashing on this project. I am at the moment in the project using a free plugin W1 Limiter in VEPRO, That can't be the cause, perhaps I have 10 instances of VEPRO opened maybe Kontact 5 or PLAY. If I try and delete one of the VEPRO instruments it crashes cubase. I use Kontact 5 and try to use the PLAY engine as little as possible. However right now I can't even update the OSX as APPLE has removed OSX 10.10 and I do not have it yosemite. My soundcard does not even have the drivers for 10.11 so I am suck and I don't know what to do. Perhaps the only solution is a previous build of VEPRO but I doubt that will fix anything as i was having these crashes before just not as much as now If I do revert how do I revert VEPRO back to previous buildon mac OSX 10.8.5 if this is possible?I doubt that will fix anything I just donn't know what todo. Please can someone help me PLEASE!! I have contacted support as well I don't know why this is happening. Near the bottom it says thread Zero crashed: Thread 0 crashed with X86 Thread State (64-bit): rax: 0x0000000000000000 rbx: 0x00007fff5fb61770 rcx: 0x00007fff7cac4db0 rdx: 0x000000000000008f rdi: 0x00000000ffffff3f rsi: 0x0000000000000000 rbp: 0x00007fff5fb61750 rsp: 0x00007fff5fb61720 r8: 0x0000000000000001 r9: 0x00000001dc1ef400 r10: 0x00000001da1e2e70 r11: 0x000000007f624624 r12: 0x0000000000000001 r13: 0x00000000000000a4 r14: 0x0000000000000001 r15: 0x00007fff7cac4db0 rip: 0x00007fff9587246f rfl: 0x0000000000010202 cr2: 0x0000000000000000 Logical CPU: 2 What does this meanwhy does thread 0 keep on crashing and making VEPRO crash when cubase starts how do I fix thread 0 from crashing? • I think I posted this in the wrong forum sorry. Please move it if it is a problem.

  • My Cubase crashed with latest VEP, I realized I have EW Space on my FX Channel in my template that caused the crash. I solved this problem by removing EW Space from my template and everything start working properly.

I have 6 instances of VEP in my template, mostly are VSL instrument Pro and few Kontakt 5 and PLAY, runnong on Mac Pro 6,1, OS X 10.10.5 and Cubase Pro 8.0.30.

It's such a frustrating experienced for the latest VEP update.
