  • Error Message: "Your system finger print is not valid anymore."

    Hello,

I am running VSL SE+ on Windows 7 with VIP, VEP, & MIR Pro. I recently noticed that when adding an external hard drive, all my drive letters were reassigned. I foolishly tried to reassign them through Disk Management. Now when I try to launch VEP, I'm getting an error message that reads: "Your system finger print is not valid anymore. The system's hardware configuration has been changed! Soft-eLicencer <MY SERIAL NUMBER> and stored licenses have been disabled. Hardward eLicenses are not affected. Please contact your software vendors' support department for help and reactivation." I've tried restoring my drive letters to their original assignments, but it has not rectified the issue.  What can I do to reactivate my VSL software? Thank you for any help you can give me.

    Sincerely,

    August Champlin

  • Hi,

your VSL licenses are on your Hardware key, and should not be affected... apparently you can uninstall the eLicenser Control Center and reinstall the latest version (downloaded from here: http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html) in order to get rid of the warning...

    best,

  • You need to run directory manager and rescan your drives.
