Hi,

Has anyone here has used or is currently using UVI Workstation VSTi with VEP 5 over LAN.

It has iLok dongle for protection plus computer based authorization too as of 2014 - I'll be trying it out at some point but thought I'd ask here to see what users here can report - Thanks

Yes, using 2.6.1 in latest VEP. No issues whatsoever...

I am currently using it with no issues inside VE Pro.

Thanks for the feedback - Some installations can drag on for a long time especially when support issues are needed due to bugs etc......Hopefullly this will go smoothly - Thanks

The UVI sample packs are protected by iLok as is MOTU Mach Five that uses UVI Engine as well - If I wish to use these with VEP Pro 5 is it correct to install onto the "slave" or "server" computer then launch VEP 5 on the "master" "licensed VEP Pro 5" computer?

I will be doing this when I get round to it but just need to check that VEP Pro works well working with what is two dongle protection devices.  I've read about issues but they may well be long gone.

UVI Workstation is free and does not to the best of my knowledge require any iLok to run but the commercial libraries assosiated with them do.

Any helpful info on this appreciated and would be good to hear from users of these commercial libraries with VEP Pro 5 - I'm just trying to trouble shoot and get advise in advance, thanks

hello, i use VE PRO 6 and i try using UVI Worksation with Hammond B5.

The plug is working normally alone on one track in VE PRO but i am building a big template and i have put 16 UVI with different preset for the hammond.

all is working normally but when i restart VE PRO all the uvi bug because it doesn't keep my preference midi track.

i put for exemple ch midi 5 one the uvi n°5 and when i restard it will be UVI  N°5 with Midi chanel 1...

so i have to reprogramme each time i need the midi chanel for the 16 uvi...

it is not a big problem but i would like to understand.

a little precision, on the 16 uvi 12 are usind split mode on the Hammond setting so one midi chanel with differente range. it is the probleme but i need using it like this.

3 other use midi chanel Right hand, Left Hand and Basse chanel 14, 15, 16 .

With this one, no probleme when i restart , i have put omni midi mode and all is keeping right.

 

if i use omni or ch 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ... with the split mode:  BBBBeuuuug  :)

Would you please send a couple of screenshots illustrating the issue to support@vsl.co.at - I am not sure I correctly understand the problem you are facing.

Do the MIDI channels change in the VE Pro channel or within the UVI plug-in?

in this picture, uvi show A1 PART 1: that mean chanel midi 1

every time i sélect A1 for ve pro 35/1   A2 for 35/2  a3 for 35/3 … to a16 for 35/16 all is ok and all is working normally

but after saving the file and restrart VE Pro all uvi show A1.

 

for this exemple i have sélect A5 for 35/5 and after restait i have A1 for 35/5
