  • VE pro loses connection after waking up from sleep

I have a VE Pro server in slave running 5 instances of VEP. My main machine is running reaper. Every night I put the slave to sleep and then my main machine with the project open, to sleep. Next day I wake up the slave first then the main computer, 2 of the VEPs are disconnected (Kontakt) with only one or two connected (omni). Happens everytime.

Is this VEP's fault or should I change my wake up order? Since some of the instances remain connected so I figured its not a wake up problem.

  • Happened again (actually happens every day).

This time only one omnisphere instance was disconnected. The rest were fine.

Every day I have to manually force disconnect in the server and connect again. A minor pain, but would be nice without doing this.

El bumpo...(having trouble with my forum login)

This happens everyday in my setup. Also disconnecting an instance from the plugin that is force disconnected from the server results in a crash.

  • I would say that the first thing you should do is check whether or not VEP is designed to reconnect when the computers have been set to sleep. Perhaps email support@vsl.co.at There is no point asking for a solution if the software is not designed to work this way. That would require a feature request.
