Seems strange that this happens (of course because it will not accept the 'dash' symbol - tried two difference puters - I cannot register my new replacement elicenser.) Anyone have a solution to this? Many thanks. what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

Hey Rob, it's a small world 
I had the same issue a few days ago when I registered another eLicenser. I just copy-pasted the code into the input field and it worked that way.
There's a "copy serial number" option in the eLinceser control center. This stores the serial number in the clipboard so you can paste it somewhere else.

Wow, Daryl - my software for elicenser was SO OLD that I didn't have that option. I am now coming into the 19th century. Btw - thanks for the heads up Jimmy. what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
