  • Click in Logic & Show VI on VE Pro Server?

    Hello,

VE Pro is working well with Logic X on my Mac with multiple slave computers connected. I use Remote Desktop on the Mac to see what's going on with the slave machines.

My question is, is there a way where In Logic, when I select a track, the corresponding VI on the correct slave machine will pop up in a window? At present, if I want to see what's going on in the VST, I have to click on remote desktop, on VE Pro and open the correct instance and then the right channel to see the relevant VST. That's an extra 4 clicks for every instrument.

I have considered leaving the windows open in the background for the slaves but even if I did that for all instruments, there is not enough space on the page to show all the VST's.

Does anyone know of a better way to work this solution?

    Many thanks,

    Joe

  • Hi Joe,

Did you try the MIDI Activity Focus yet (p.29 in the VE PRO 5 manual, number 11): It will automatically switch to the channel that has been solo´d in your sequencer, or the only channel that is receiving MIDI signals at any given time.  This convenient feature works with 1 MIDI Channel only, by design.

    Best,
    Paul
