  • Where do the extra notes come from?

    When using the VSL pro version function that extends the playable range of an instrument, what is the source of the extra notes? They sound pretty damn legit but that just may be due to not ever once hearing those specific notes on that instrument.

    I can't envision building custom instruments just to make these samples - these are just pitch-shifted samples of the closest real note? (with the exception of the basson of course I suppose.) If so nicely done.

    Yes, we´re pitch-shifting with an advanced algorithm - I also think that it sounds great, but "only" for one whole-tone, so we had to limit that option....
