Dear ALL,
Many thanks for your kind responses.
I've managed to say a metaframe with one instance called "VEP Woodwind).
Currently within Cubase I've set the 'Input setting' to 'Vienna Instruments Midi' and the 'Output setting' to 'VEP Woodwind - MIDI in 1 for ALL the Woodwind (Flute 1,2,3,4 / Oboe 1,2,3,4 / Cor Anglais / Clarinet Bb 1,2,3 / Bass Clarinet Bb / Basson 1,2,3) all respectively assigned to channels 1-16. Sadly don't have room for the Contrabasson.
The issue is although I have another instance of VEP named 'VEP Strings' I don't know why I can't get any sound either out of it, and definately not whilst in Cubase.
I've attached a screenshot of the VEP Woodwind.
I am really sorry this is the only way I have managed to get sound from VSL to Cubase and I'm sure I'm doing it completely wrong. I've yet even understand how to change articulations within Cubase (well, even understanding the Matrix etc)
As I say, I'm sure I'm doing it all wrong... I wouldn't mind if I could create another instance of VEP and route that to Cubase so I can work on stage positioning, dynamics, tempo etc, but at the moment, I'm more focused on why the Woodwinds work, but can't figure out what I need to set in VEP Strings and in Cubase for the Strings to sound.
If anyone can share a screenshot or tell me what settings I need to use for each VEP instance and that of in Cubase that would be helpful.
There are I guess easier ways but I doubt I'll understand the terminology and it won't make sense to me.
Kindest regards, Reactor
PS: How do I attach my screenshot?
