  • 25% Off All Woodwinds!

Thank You for this great offer!

I see that in the basket the price is not discounted, should I insert a Promotional/Voucher Code?

    Matteo

  • Same problem here. I can see the reduced prices for all woodwind Collections, but the Single Instruments are not showing any discounted prices. Maybe It will take them a while to edit all the prices in the web shop. Cant wait to get some more of those wonderful Woodwinds.

I bought the Woodwinds I library extended and... WOW! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I already own the SE Edition, that I find fantastic, but this is absolutely excellent! ๐Ÿ‘

  • Hi matteo,

Great to hear that you like your new woodwinds!

Itยดs highly addictive material, and I agree: Once you have checked out all the additional possibilities you get with the FULL Libraries of our bigger collections and single instruments, itยดs a whole new game, even more so with VI PRO!

The display bug for the single instruments should be fixed soon, thanks for the input there!

    Best,

  • One more question.

As a SE Ww1 owner, am I eligible for additional discounts when upgrading
to full single instruments from there, eg. Bb Clarinet 1 or French Oboe?

    Thank you.

  • There's another thing that confuses me:

When you own the "standard" part of a single instrument, and you're adding the "extended" part of the same product later on, you pick the "full" library and the basket automatically calculates your price so that you're only paying for the extended part. This makes perfect sense - you're only paying for the part that you don't own yet.

But this suddenly doesn't work any more when you own the "standard" library as part of a whole instrument collection. I have the Woodwinds 1 standard library. I could upgrade to the "extended" Woodwinds 1 collection and would only be charged the extended portion, as above.

But if I only wanted to upgrade, for example, the Flute 1 as a single instrument - unlike in the cases described above, it charges me the standard as well as the extended portions, even though I already have the standard one. Is that intended?

  • Some problems by www.bestservice.com with single instruments. If I put the Alto Sax in the basket, the discount is correct, but it doesn't see my SE discount!  I hope the problem will be fixed.

Same here with fOboe and BbClarinet1 as well.

PS The right web address is obviously www.bestservice.de not .com

  • I have a question some of you on this thread might be able to answer.

Is there a dynamic layer difference between the WW I & 2 instruments compared to the WW in the Special Edition?

Is this the main difference for upgrading to the bigger libraries?

    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi Mr A,

As far as I know, the instrument collections contain more detailed velocity layers than the special editions. I suppose it means that doing a velocity crossfading with special edition does not yield as a smooth result as with instrument collection (either standard or full).

Another thing is that special editions are sampled in whole-tone while the instrument collections are sampled in half-tone. Therefore, each articulation patch of the instrument collections contain more samples and produce more realistic sound.

Having said that, the main reason that I upgraded to the instrument collections was neither of what I've mentioned; it was just because of the access to more articulations.

    Regards,

  • Thanks for your reply. The half step sampling is a big point for sure.

  • SHOULD I PURCHASE 2ND FLUTE, 2ND CLARINET, ETC.?

I recently purchased the Woodwind Full Library. I am just beginning to learn to use the instruments. So as a rank beginner I have no experience upon which to make a decision. If I write something with standard woodwinds of 2 each of flutes, oboes, clarinets and bassoons,, would it be a benefit to buy the Flute 2, Clarinet 2, etc?

For example, the full library includes samples for 3 flutes in unison. But the typical classical orchestra has 2 flutes, not 3. Would the flute 1 and flute 2 playing unison sound substantially more realistic than the 3 flute ensemble patch in simulating 2 actual players? I hope this question makes sense. Thanks for any advice.
