  • Problem with woodwind bundle license

    Ok, here it is:

    And to save time:

I have the latest library installer, elicencer controller, directory manager, etc.,etc.

I purchased the Woodwinds 1 bundle, and I intended to install it from the vsl drive.  I already have the basic flute 1 library installed and it is working fine.  In addition to all the other keys, I only was sent the activation key for FLUTE 1 Extended Library because, I "already had the basic flute 1 library installed".  So, I dumped in all the activation keys, one by one, and downloaded all the licenses.  However, when I pointed the installer at the pkg info for woodwinds 1, it said I need a basic flute 1 license to install, and then the installer quits.  The vendor will not send me the basic license for flute 1, and without it the installer will not proceed to the rest of the bundle.  By the way, I installed woodwinds 2 perfectly well, along with other woodwinds.

    So the questions:

    1.  Of course, how do I get to install all the content of woodwinds 1 - including the complete flute 1 instrument?

    2.  How come, if I used the extended library activation code, my old, installed flute 1 still shows only the basic library in the pro player?

    3.  If I were to find my old flute 1 activation code, and somehow downloaded the basic license again (is this possible?), would the installer work though the flute 1 basic install, and then continue on?  In such a case, would adding the extended library activation code just fix up the flute 1 basic library?

    4.  My theory is that I need the exact license for the new flute 1 library being installed from the vsl drive, and that my old license for the downloaded flute on basic instrument is different and will not help.  Therefore, I need the the particular activation code for the flute 1 in the woodwinds 1 bundle on the vsl drive.  Is this correct?

At any rate, all my software is up-to-date and I have done all the right things.  All my other installs work perfectly.  So somebody straighten this out please.

Can you see the licence of the basic flute 1?

  • No, I cannot see any licenses; I looked carefuly.  The basic flute I already have installed seems to have a license since it is working.  The problem seems to be connected to the activation code for the flute in the woodwinds bundle.  For some reason the installer doesn't recognize that license and therefore will not install the rest of the bundle.
