  • VI Pro and Sibelius

Is it possible to use the wonderful VI 2 PRO Presets with Sibelius?

The Sibelius Presets work fine with Sibelius but when I use the VI PRO 2 Presets all the articulations are wrong. What's the solution?

    Thanks

  • The solution is to use the Sibelius Presets

  • Actually more..the solution I discovered is to rearrange the Sibelius presets with the Pro advanced matrices

But the SE manual says the following which does not seem to be the case with the Sibelius presets?

The configuration of individual Cells has been designed to be interchangeable throughout all instruments; e.g., a staccato will always be found in the same Cell position, irrespective of whether you are using a string or a wind instrument. This allows a quick change of instruments in your arrangement.

  • Hello oshaginko!

The Special Edition VI presets for Sibelius are based on the matrices that come with the Special Edition content. All patches are mapped to the same cell. The VI Pro matrices and presets are structured a bit differently and are therefore not compatible with the Special Edition sound set for Sibelius. Anyway, you can load the VI presets for Sibelius and still use the features of VI Pro.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hi Andi

    ....understood.

It's a relatively easy job to drag the Pro2 matrices into the Sibelius preset I realise now, so no worries.

    Thanks!
