    Hi,

    I am long time VEP and Logic user (over 10 years) and had never experienced something like this. I've started using cubase 7-8 months ago and recently got into some problems with VEP. I'll try to explain what is going on.

    It takes Cubase up to 15 minutes to connect to one VEP instance on the PC slave. Since I have 8 instances and around 300 channels in Cubase, it is ridiculous to wait over 1 hour to connect to all of them. I've tried everything, static IP, opening different project files, different Master computer with cubase etc. without success. Logic X seems to work normal, no issue there. It connects to VEP in a second.

    It's weird that after all instances are connected and all project files saved (decoupled), reopening the project connects it in a seconds, as usual. But if I try to open different projects and if I need to connect to VEP manually, it takes very long time, cubase freezes, spinning ball. If I force close VEP on PC - Cubase unfreezes immediately. If I force close Cubase on the Master - VEP on the PC slave freezes and needs to be force closed.

    My master and slave were always set to automatic IP adress, and never had any issue. And as I mentioned, static IP didn't helped. But it could be that I didn't set correct numbers??

    I am on El Capitan for several months without any issues, but I feel that the problem started to appear after I updated to the latest 10.11.5 update. Cubase version is the latest 8.5.15.126. Although I've even tried on the old Yosemite backup and the problem stiil occurs. VEP is the latest version as well.

    My master computer is new Mac Pro 2013, El Capitan 10.11.5, 6 core, 32GB ram, RME Babyface. PC slave is Win7 32GB ram, i7 2600k with couple of SSD's and 2TB rpm sample drives.

    I would appreciate if you have some advice to solve this problem.

    Forgot to mention - both computers are connected trough AirPort Extreme, 1gbit lan connection

    It takes a long time for my system to connect as well using cuabse and VE pro w/ a PC slave. Would love to know if you find any solutions, but I've heard it has to do with how many audio ports you are sending to Cubase. The less audio ports, the less time to load. I cannot confirm this though.
