  • VePRo 5 and Sonokinetic software

    Hello,

Trying to do an offline bounce from Logic with Vepro 5 on a slave hosting Sonokinteic's GROSSO.  GROSSO will not record utilizing OFFLINE bounce only LIVE BOUNCE.  No ohter software behaves this way hosted by VePro. Sonokinetik is suggestingit is a VePro issue.  Any thoughts? Settings, etc?

    Cheers,

  • Hi th,

Do you have someone at Sonokinetic´s that can be contacted about this?

I´ll try to reproduce this as soon as possible (and as soon as I can get my hands on this software).

    Best,
    Paul

  • Paul,

Yes I am in touch with Sonokinetic. So far they have replied with:

"Have you tried doing an offline bounce with Grosso directly within Logic. If that works, its likely to be a connection setting between Logic and VePro."

I have replied to them with: "We can not run the libraries on our aging Mac. It is one of the older 'cheese grater' Macs. That is why we have them on a PC. I am hitting up VSL support on this as well. Paul usually gets back to me the same day. We'll see.  :)  We have two new Darth Vader Mac Pro machines arriving in a week so I won't be able to test the GROSSO on those machines until then. I have 48 gigs of RAM in my PC but am running dangerously close to maxing it out so a RAM bottle neck may be the issue as well.  We are going to strip down the template to GROSSO only soon to test if RAM is the issue."

  • Thanks. I just did. You should be hearing from Ken Black from Sonokinetic soon.

  • Paul,

I just contacted Ken at Sonokinetic. All is resolved at this point but I appreciate your help. I think it was a RAM issue vs SONO or VSL.

    Cheers -
