Hello VSL,

i had a great time scoring the provided footage for the Marvin Hamlisch Scoring Competition 2016.

Please find my entry: https://vimeo.com/170217844

As usual, your products enabled me to render the actual music i had in mind. I would be pleased to hear your feedback.

Best Regards

Francesco

I enjoyed the music, how it follows the story of the movie, the instrumentation, the harmony and melodies, the liveliness. I heared also: VSL is a very good library. By the direct sound you can hear how well the samples of the instruments are of every instrument or group of instruments. Beautiful in all aspects.

Hi Francesco,

Fantastic score, so beautifully and transparently rendered. It fits perfectly in the footage and has a great amount of musicallity, which is not so obvious in such a brief performance, cut into a huge number of events.

Normally I'm not so fond of film music doubling the action (reflecting every aspect of the action by accentuating the action with sounds or music), but you did this in a very stylish and subtle way without exaggerating. You've proven yourself a master here.

Sincere congrats!

Max

Dear Max,

thank you for your comment, which was a pleasure to read.

Also, i remember you saying something about your preference for Teldex and the dry chamber sound. Indeed, i see what you say, i loved using Teldex in this one.

Best Regards

Francesco

Really fun to listen to.  I loved the sound of your mix and the spaciousness you created in the Teldex.  The music helped convey the story very well!
