VEP6 - PC / MAC version numbers differ

Hi There.

I just bought the upgrade for VEpro6 and have been giving it a spin.   I have Mac 12 core MASTER machine and a Mac8 Core SLAVE.   Connectivity seems fine and everything working as it should pretty much (apart from a slight lag when hitting play intermittantly) BUT I also have a PC SLAVE - and the 12 core Master machine is not even seeing the PC server.   It also keeps throwing up a 'please check the version numbers are the same across the software) message 

(FYI I use static IP's & have run this set up perfectly with VEPro 5 for years and its been rock solid across all machines)

I did a bit of digging and see that the MAC version is 6.0.15180  -  yet the PC version number appears to be: 6.0.0.15180.

It looks like there is a typo error in the version number on the PC - an extra 'ZERO' has crept in - could this be what is stopping my PC being seen in the server window?

Thanks for the report, glad you like VE PRO 6!

The zero is definitely just a typo. 

On your Windows computer, did you check that your firewall is off or that you have made an exception for VE PRO 6?

Yep, firewalls getting more rigid these days (but I don´t monitor that too closely). It´s simply the first thing to ask any Mac guy that has troubles with Windows 😉
