  • Can't install VE Pro 6 on Windows 7 32-bit

I can't install VE Pro 6 on windows 7 ultimate
    I get the warning:
Internal Error: cannot expand "pf64" constant on this version of windows
I installed framework 4.5.2 , latest E-Licencer, but cannot install VE Pro 6
The slaved PC that I am trying to install , is not connected in the internet.
The slaved PC is only in network with the Mac.
Everything had worked well with VE Pro 4 but now... I can't install VE Pro 6
    What can I do?
    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Jay,

Please make sure that you have Service Pack 1 installed on your Win 7 computers, then it should work just fine.

  • I have the same problem with this error message, and have Service Pack 1 installed on my Windows 7 Professional (32 bit) machine. Is there a fix for this?

  • There is currently an issue with the installer on Windows 32-bit systems. This will be addressed in an update, expected this week.

  • I have Service Pack 1 installed.
So ...I will be waiting the update.
I have another problem, Vienna Download Manager never worked for me.
I have the latest e-licencer, etc. , I insert the USB Key , but nothing work.

    Hello Jay,

Any error messages with the Download Manager? Did you try the previous version, available in the Software Archive?

    Best,
    Paul

  • After the new update, I'm still unable to install the 32 bit version of VE Pro 6.

I have service pack 1, and Windows updates are, well, up to date.

On installation I get the following error:

    "Unable to execute file:

    c:\Program Files\Vienna Ensemble Pro\Vienna Ensemble Pro.exe

    CreateProcess failed; code.

The system cannot find the file specified"

  • Hi AlistairL,

Seems like we overlooked something there, sorry about that.

Will be fixed with the next update, thanks for your patience!

    Paul

  • The same to me.
    Can't find the file.
    Waiting...waiting... a fix to this

  • Dear Paul,
I've sent one E-Mail saying about another problem , but I will post here too.
Today I bought Guitar Overdrive, downloaded and when I tried to install on my mac , ERROR.
The error is that can't open the package info, something like this.
I don't know what is happenning.
No VE Pro 6 on my PC slaved and no Guitar Overdrive on my mac.
Please, I think the things could be more simple.
ONE INSTALLER with the downloaded files!!!
I don't understand why the things are more complicate to install!!??
    Two products and nothing.
I reinstalled VE Pro 4 to keep working. I really need to use the Guitar Overdrive today.
    No more words....
    Thanks in advance
    Jay

  • Fixed for the next update.

  • Ok Martin!
    Thanks

  • Hi Paul,

I installed the latest VE6 update successfully on my 32 bit machine.

    However, I still have problems.

My 32 machine cannot see 32 bit VSL6 servers running on my other machines.

It also cannot see a VE6 32bit server running on its own machine!

It can however see VE6 64bit server running on either of the other two machines.

So I'm still having to roll back to version 5 to continue working.

Hoping you can address this in another update.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi AlistairL,

Any firewalls or anti-virus programs involved? Can you switch those off and see what happens?

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Well, before I tried that, I disabled internet access and reinstalled VE6.

When running it for the first time, I had an alert about Firewall access. I clicked "Allow"

I then asked Sonar to rescan my VSL plugins, which I confess I hadn't thought to do before.

It then could see the 32 bit server on its own machine, and on the slaves.

    So all is well now.

Apologies for not thinking about rescanning plugins before, I guess because it did see the 64bit servers.

    Thanks again for your assistance,

    Best regards,

    Alistair
