Still not  fixed. Martin,, it does seem to be size related. This morning I loaded my big template with 43 "projects" in my PC Server, all EW Play, and 20 the Mac, all Kontajt and yes, the 1.5 -2 sec lag is still there.

Didn't  happen in VE Pro 5, so it isn't solely a Logic Pro thing.

I see that Martin wrote the following on V.I. Control:

"The delay issue could be reproduced here, using many instances containing plugins with latency. The latency updating mechanism in Logic made it a bit slower than intended. We have just fixed this issue, update will be released very soon."

43 projects in VE Pro 6 PC, each with 1 instance of Play. 24 projects in VE Pro 6 Mac, each with 1 instance of Kontakt all connected  in Logic Pro X 10.2.4.

Seems like this issue is not so easy to isolate afterall. I really hope they find the solution soon.

Actually I haven't updated the past two versions. Will get back to you when I try this ASAP today. I am having trouble reading the VSL website currently on my DAW - it looks fine here. NO idea why.

So you want me to try it with 43 empty instances?

EDIT: OK so I deleted the Play instances, so now all 43 are empty, and YES the lag is still there connected to my Logic Pro X template, although perhaps slightly shorter.

Further, if I open VE Pro 6 on the PC and leave  it empty, then open my Logic template, since it waas  saved with instances connected, it creates 43 empty  instnaces and  the issue is STILL there.

Just updated. Delay still here (2-2,5 seconds), with only local Mac instances connected to Logic. All decoupled.

EDIT: I have one Altiverb instance in one of the VEP instances. Just for the heck of it, I tried removing it, and boom - the delay is (almost at least - still a bit slower than VEP5 I believe) gone. I then added the instance of Altiverb back on the same channel, and the delay still isn't there. So... I don't know what conclusion to draw but the issue seems related to some latency heavy plugins not loading properly when you load an old project into VEP6. Haven't tried saving it and loading it back up to see if it still behaves well yet.

But Simon, that  does not explain why I get the lag with the brand new empty instances that Logic instantiates in VE Pro when I open my Logic template.

It seems to be strictly an project instances numbers  game from what I can see.

Right. Seems like a multi faceted problem. Let's hope the VSL team gets to the bottom of it sooner rather than later.
