  • VEPro6 Window Content Linking with Logic?

The VE Pro 6 overview video shows dynamic instance raising on the server when selecting tracks in Logic with VE Pro6.

Is it possible to link track selection in logic with both raising the relevant instance AND opening the referenced VI Pro window on the slave machine?

This would save us from having to scroll to the referenced track on the slave in order to see key switches and settings.  Right now we have to select the track twice...  once in Logic, and again on the slave machine.

Unfortunately Logic has deprecated it’s own “object oriented”  content linking in the environment, so this behavior is no longer present in the environment window, but I hope that this behaivior is possible with VE Pro.

I am very excited about this... imo it would be THE “killer feature”.

  • Hi oldskool,

You could get the desired effect when using the MIDI Activity Focus in VE PRO... that´s the only trick I can think of right now.

To Logic Pro, VE PRO is "just another plug-in" that is raised, it doesn´t matter if it´s multi-timbral or mono-timbral.

  • Thanks Paul.  I just tried "Midi Activity Focus" in VEPro5 and it does exactly what I want.

I am embarrassed that I didn't know that it's been right there in the software all this time.

  • Hi,

No worries, glad you like it!
