  • Vide0 tutorial for Mir Pro plugin?

    Hi,

Up till now I have used MIr within VEPro with only VSL sounds. I am wondering if there is a video tutorial about how to use it, or the MirPro plugin with other libraries, e.g. running in Kontakt?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alan

  • As far as I remember there is no dedicated video tutorial for the plug-in version of MIR Pro (... Paul? ...). Of course there is an addendum available for MIR Pro's manual which covers all the differences:

    -> http://eu.vsl.co.at/downloader.aspx?FileID=31182

But there's not much to be said. All the actual MIR functions work identically, minus the automatisms which make life easier when using Vienna Instruments inside Vienna Ensemble Pro.

    Kind regards,

    /Dietz - Vienna Symphonic Library
  • I feel too less information on Mir Pro in general, no any tutorials at all.
I bought package for ~2000 $ and forced to re-invent all.
Maybe the process is very clear to those who were programming it, but to me, as composer, who shall spend all time only on artistic work - i feel slowly overloaded by the fact that there are no tutorials in video form, nor any in any other form.
I am using Presonus Studio One 3.3 Pro, there are no any videos with any information regarding Mir Pro and VEP etc.
My work stays on the same place and i have to read all forums around,
have to compair show cases from Pro Tools and so much more...
Just to get it working for me..
    I do not feel fair..

For your information, here are some tutorials for Mir Pro on YouTube:

There are others as well. I hope that helps!  ðŸ˜Š

  • Just to reinforce what Alan said,

Whether it's tutorals on MIR or VIP Pro, VEP, Vienna Suite, or Presonus, MIDI, or composing in general or how to clean your back side after using the toilet, rest assured, somebody has posted something about it on Youtube.  Of course it helps to know how to weed out the useful from the annoying but Youtube probably has what you're looking for.  Then, when you get it down pat and you feel so compelled, post your own video.

I believe VSL has their own dedicated channel on Youtube not to mention all of the freelancers and VSL fans who have posted their workflows, tricks, etc.

  • I wrote this post after i have seen all i could find.
That does include official Vienna channel and all on Youtube and else available videos + written manuals. Thanks to Belkinaa for links - sadly i have seen them in the very beginning of my study curve,
but nether less a big THANKS.

    jasensmith :) roflmao. - that’s all I can reply here :)
(I am not really in the mood to reply to a slightly "trolling" post)
It is not my job to making tutorial videos for software I paid 2K..
In my nearest plan was to buy also the Full package of Vienna Orchestra (10000+$) and i do expect not just intro videos, but a full tutorial curse to use this software at it full potential with explanation to techniques etc.
I have seen that there is "academy" which isn’t free of charge.. to study software which i have to pay 10K? and now 2K?
In total it makes 12K USD... Shall I feel fair? no.
    Just my 2cents.

P.S.: I seems found after ~2 weeks of sleepless nights the way of how it shall be used.
(+ countless coffee). I didn’t sleep yet till now..
Do i have time to make tutorial video? no. I have delayed project now.
Will i have time after? Questionable. Even if i would like to share the information i have collected so far - in real life I don’t have time for this.

I don’t agree that step-by-step video tutorials explaining all aspects and settings and technics etc. for VEP and Mir are missing.
And there are missing info on simple usage with Presonus Studio One 3.3 (currently one of most common DAW out there)
I either do not agree to waste 7-month or one year of my life time (working time) to join any training courses, due to the fact that i can study faster, more efficient and more convenient with help of video tutorials and by myself, at my specific study speed.

Peace to all & God blesses yoy

    WvV,

My apologies.  I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence or be acidulous to you in any way.  With just over a thousand posts, this is one forum I do not troll.  However, on occasion, I have been known to have a little fun.

In my defence, in your OP you gave no indication that you had already looked into Youtube so I merely suggested it along with Alan.  You have to remember that this is a public forum and you are not the only one reading this.  It could very well be that others out there had never thought about going to Youtube for Mir Pro, VIP Pro, VEP 6 or any of the other excellent video tutorals (including cleaning back sides)

Presonus Studio One "one of the most common DAW out there?"  Well, that maybe so but so is Logic, Cubase, Protools, and Sonar to name a few.  Oh and let's not forget the notation software too.  Do you really expect VSL to make companion video tutorals for all of these software programs?  Because if they make one for Presonus then they have to make one for everybody else.  And these programs are constantly evolving with updates and improved versions.  It's just not possible to keep up with it all.

That's why I suggested posting your own video when you figure it all out.  Be the first to post a Presonus video😃

Anyway, I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for and I wish you the best in your musical endeavors
