This is supposed to be a positive post, I am not dissing anything :)  I have VE PRO 5. I have two sets (One DAW and 5 slaves) so I am a serious user and love the product :)

Looking through the threads here there seems a lot of questions and potential issues. I accept that this will be the case with a new product (to some extent). However, I find there is nothing really lacking in my VE PRO 5 setup, other than mono outputs. I know VE PRO 6 also does not address the mono issues. Hell, if it did I would upgrade now and out up with the teething trouble.

So... are other users looking at this forum, but sitting on the fence at the moment before considering upgrading?

I sat on the fence until getting confirmation of the significant CPU gains with VEP 6.  At least 30% +  I downloaded and was very pleased, indeed, to find that this was true.  Templates that struggled to play without audio disruptions now purr along with ease and I'm growing them with the added capabilities provided by VEP.  It's like getting a new and faster computer.  Combine that with a good SSD drive and you're going to get enormous gains in the numbers of instruments possible in a single setup.
