    My VEP6 was working fine a few weeks back. Ive just recently done the latest update (Sept 19th update). And now if I run VEP6 on my master computer running Logic Pro X, when I start playback in a project connected to the  local host instances in VEP6 it crashes VEP. I also did the Kontakt 5.6 update. I though it could of been that, but I rolled back to Kontkat 5.5.1 and it does the same thing.

    I've also updated VEP6 to the latest version on my PC Slave. But if Logic on the master connects to instances of VEP6 on the Slave PC, when press playback in Logic it doesn't crash VEP6 on the PC.

    Anyone else having similar issues? Or anyone know what it could be?

    Hi Gary,

    I have already replied to your support request by email.

    This is in fact a pure PLAY VST crash.

    Thanks for the help marnix.

    Glad to know where the issue is. Jay Asher mentioned on the VI Control forum that it's an issue with PLAY VST on Mac. Works fine with PLAY AU. So I'll use the AU format for now.

    Could you please explain more about this PLAY VST issue. Because I am also on PLAY 5, however I was getting VEP 6 (latest update) crash on me yesterday every 2-3 minutes of setting up and I was not using any instances of PLAY, only instruments in Kontakt 5.6 Mac. So could it be that the plugin is loaded into the VEP database and that is affecting it also. Perhaps moving the PLAY VST out of its folder and trying might help.

    Further on this I have noticed that when I updated to the latest revision of VEP it was loading and unloading my templates slower than the previous release (version before 6.0.15318).

    Any help would be appreciated.
