  • Setting up Vienna Instrument Pro 2 and MIR Pro

    Hello,

Im on a windows 7 machine.

I just purchased Vienna Instrument Pro 2 Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 and the complete MIR Pro and the symphonic cube library.  When Installing, I put Vienna instrument and Vienna Instrument Pro on my PC.  Was I supposed to skip the non-pro install? If so do I just uninstall it or is it harmless or are they both supposed to be installed?

The MIRx Pro inside Vienna Instrument Pro 2 says its disabled due to either licensing or directory management issue.   I did install all of my licenses on the eLicense Key sucessfully and I installed MIR PRO rooms and software sucessfully...  and ther Standalone MIR Pro seems to work... how do I make MIRx Pro work inside VIP 2?

The room installs are in d:/vsl and the instruments are in D:/vsl/vsl_cube   the instruments work .  did i miss something?

    Thanks!

    greg

  • Welcome Greg,

Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Pro software will run happily side-by-side, no need to skip one for the other.

Please don't mix up MIR Pro and MIRx, though. MIR Pro is the full-fledged product that can be used stand-alone as part of Vienna Ensemble (Pro) or as plug-in in the DAW of your choice. MIRx is its smaller sister, consisting of  dedictated presets for more or less all available Vienna Instruments. It can only be used as extension of VSL's player and needs its own data. MIR Pro's RoomPacks won't do.

Please visit your user area ("MyVSL") on this site to download the proper files.

  • Thanks! That cleared it up for me.   MIR Pro works great in VIP.

  • You're welcome - but I assume you meant to say that MIRx works great within Vienna Instruments Pro, didn't you? ;-)
