VEP: can't see presets in VST plugins

I run VEP5 on a single Win 7 32bit machine. From my DAW I created presets in some of VST plugins. But I don't see these presets within the same plugins opened in VEP.  Does anybody have an idea why?

What DAW? What format are the Presets?

Sonar X3.  VST3 and VST2 plugins. Presets creatad inside the plugins from Sonar are not seen when the plugins are opened from VEP5.

So what format are the presets / how do you save them?

I'm not sure what format they are in. Inside the plugins. Let's say it'a a compressor, I adjust settings in the VST compressor from Sonar and save it within the plugin as a sustom preset, then I want to open that same plugin from VEP and to use the same custom preset, and it's not there. The presets should be stored within the plugin, NOT within DAW, correct?

I think the best idea is to send some screenshots of HOW you save a preset in your compressor, and ideally also show where this preset is saved on your computer: support@vsl.co.at
