    Hey,

I own VIPro2 and have the following problem.

I'd like to combine legato and sustain patches the way, that you only hear the legato-patch whilst the note transitions. It shall fade out shortly after a note-change and be replaced by a sustain patch (I thought of some MIDI-envelope-shaper, where the note is still on, whilst CC7 or 11 are set to 0 after a defined time). As far as I know, it is not possible in VIPro2 to completly "draw" an envelope. And since the legato patches only work, if held unto the following note, I can not achieve good results.

I know, what I could do, when it is just about "written" stuff. I can then draw the CC11 by hand in my DAW (Cubase Art) or use the Slotx-fade (although I do not like to use it that much with solo instruments, since you hear the shifting). However when it comes to playing live, it gets complicated. I cannot use the Slotx for every note. I need an automation-process there.

In short: Is there any way, my aim can be achieved with a) only VIPro2 or b) VIPro2+some external VST-Plugin (like a MIDI-Envelope-Shaper)? The thing is, I do not want to spend money just on this subject. Does anyone know a freeware-plugin, with which one can automate MIDI-signals?

I am thankful for every hint.
