    Recently I updated VEP6 from WIN-6.0.15376 to 60.15415. Since that moment my master computer "doesn't see" the slave. I am confused, because the setting of both computers is exactly this same and there is no communication. Strange is that the old projects works fine - both computer are connected. However when I want to add new instance on the slave - I can't. So I installed back the version 6.0.15376 - unfortunately didn't help. Anyone has an idea where is the problem? 

    Master Computer - HP  i7 16GB Windows 8.1 (64)

    Slave Computer - HP i5 8GB, Windows 7 (64)

    Hello Henryk,

    What are your network settings?

    You should definitely use static IP addresses, and avoid 169.x.x.x addresses (these are automatically assigned by your computer and tend to change).

    Please try the following:

    Manually assign one of these IP addresses to the computers in your setup: 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x, and assign a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 (leave the other fields blank), then it should work.

    Did you try to deactivate the firewall on your windows computer?

    If you need the firewall to be on, please establish exception rules for certain ports as described in the VE PRO manual on page 4.

    Hello Paul Thank you for your respond and your advise. I deactivated Firewall and everything is back and working normal. Thank you Regards Henryk
