  • Vienna MIR Pro eq on the wet output signal

Is there a way to put equalizer on the wet signal only at the output from MIR Pro?

    thanks!

  • Hi Michkohl,

that's exactly what MIR Pro's RoomEQ is meant to be used for. You can assign one of its 32 different settings (or actually 33, including the default one) to each Icon individually.

The RoomEQ won't affect the direct signal components derived from MIR Pro.

  • Thanks! It took some time to figure out how it works though: you edit eq in the bottom pane and set it in the upper pane.

  • Yes - this is how software engineers think. 8-] Personally I would have preferred a more conventional bus-concept, too.

The good thing about that "look-up table" approach is that it is supposed to be more friendly to the CPU - which is always a compelling justification, especially in case of MIR Pro.  ;-)

    Kind regards,

  • If you're using MIR Pro inside VE Pro, this can also be accomplished by sending the Wet Send output of a Vienna MIR Pro plugin to a separate VE Pro bus channel. Then a Vienna MIR Pro Equalizer (or any other equalizer, such as the Vienna Suite Pro Equalizer) can be applied to the bus. Unfortunately this is not technically possible when using the regular MIR Pro plugin inside another host.
