Issue with Sibelius and Solo Violin 2

Hello, I've got a problem with my Sibelius and Solo Violin 2 setup.

I've downloaded and installed the soundset. So far everything is ok. 

In the ensemble window the right intruments are assigned to the right chanels. When I click "Test" on channel 1 in Sibelius (v8.4 btw) VSL plays my first channel with the "Solo Violin 2". To channel 2 I assigned the solo violin 1 from Solo Strings SE+. When I test this one it works too. 

But: During playback channel 1 (the one with solo violin 2) won't play.  It's quite strange but the first and the second staff in Sibelius are played only with channel 2 in VSL. 

Please, does someone know that issue? Or better a solution?

Hello Richard!

It can have different reasons why this problem occurs. Please check the following things.

- Do you have the dedicated instruments from the "Vienna Symphonic Library" House Style in your score? If you are in doubt, please add the instruments "Solo Violin" and "Solo Violin 2 (VSL Single Instrument)" from the Sibelius "Add or Remove Instruments" menu.

- As you are using the Special Edition PLUS solo violin as a second violin, you will need two different sound sets for your violins. Please activate two Vienna Ensemble instances in the Sibelius Playback devices. For the first one load the sound set "VE Strings" and for the second one load the sound set "VE Special Edition PLUS".

- Make sure to apply the according programs on the Manual Sound Sets page for both devices.

- More possible reasons for your problem can be found in the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.
