  • Cannot connect VE Pro on logic

    Hello friends,

since i updated to VE Pro 5.4.15500 I cannot conect to VE Pro anymore. What happened? How can I connect? There are no available instances in the window. Where can I find them?

Yes, I am kind of stupid - sorry.

But maybe someone can help. Thank you in advance.

    Best Alfred

  • It is usually a firewall issue. Try to manually input the slave's IP in the box and a name for a session. If it gets created, it's definitely an Firewall (on slave or on master) issue, or you have a WiFi on while having the ethernet connected.

  • Thak yo for answerring. Where do I find this IP? I have only one computer running VE Pro on logic, no slave Computer.

  • If you are running VE Pro Server on the same computer you run your daw, then the server's IP address is 127.0.0.1

  • Hi Ciprianis, thanl you so much for your help - now I realise that I opened the VE 64bit and not the VE 64bit Server. The adress occurs in the window now, but when I open it, VE does not load the Instruments as before. And because I never saved the Instruments in VE as a project maybe I lost all information. Just strang that it workeed this way before. Maybeno good idea to use a software without really understanding it. Hmmm.

  • When working with a server, just leave the instances connected when quitiing and saving in your DAW. After closing your daw you can close the server and discard the changes. When you reopen your projects, (with an empty server powered on) the projects will push data back in the server (will populate instances and plug-ins). If you forget to power on a server, just close daw project without saving, start the server, reopen daw project and you're all set.

You can also save both server project and daw project before quitting daw (and again leave all instances connected) just to be double sure you have your data saved.
