  • Choosing Send channel does not copy to other instruments in group.

I have LASS full witch means I have four divisi for each string section (Vl1 a, Vl1 B, etc).

I want them all to send to a Bus for early reflections, and one for reverb. (I route different levels for each section).
I also separate the short articulations for each that I also send to two busses.

That is 80 routings in total. I have put them all in the same group, but I had to choose each individual track and select the right bus, 80 times.

I did this yesterday, and my mouse arm actually hurts today. Now, when I open the project the routings are forgotten, they all go to "None". That means I have to do it all over again.

In Logic, you don´t even need groups, you just select multiple channels and whatever you do (bus change, inserts etc) copys to all selected. I could really need this in VEP.

(I have checked all boxes in the Group Settings, so that is not the issuie.)

    Cheers,
    Eirik

  • Hi Eirik,

So which OS are you working on, and which version of VE PRO?
I just checked, you can assign the same Sends to multiple selected channels (in the same group or not) when you hold down "Alt" when assigning a Send.

I also checked if these routing are saved and recalled, no troubles here with VE PRO 6.0.15567 on mac OS Sierra.

    Best,

  • Hi Paul,

I am on Capitain (10.11.6) and 6.0.15567 and on my end it does not work. I have tried switching on and off the "Automatically edit selected..." option in preferences but to no avail.

The group function now makes my project crash, and prevents me from connecting to one of the instances (I had to remove the grouping, then it worked).

I figured it out using the copy function. Here I can select multiple channels while pasting. However this does not work on "Volume" or "Output" as far as I can tell (I have not tested all of them).

    Thank you,

    Eirik

  • Hi Eirik,

Please be so kind and send us the crash report, ideally with the project that does not work and steps on how to reproduce this from scratch: support@vsl.co.at

    Thanks,
    Paul
