  • Bass trombone C# sounding continiously starting playback at random measure

Weird problem: No issues when starting at the beginning or starting at a measure containing bass trombone. When I start playback at a random measure with no bass trombone before she played her very first notes, also no problem. When I start playback at a random measure with no bass trombone after she has played in some part before my starting point, I hear a continious lowest C# sounding.. This even happens when I set other instruments to solo (and thus should mute the bone)! I''m working on a piece for symphony orchestra with finale 25 and I am using SE, keyswitches for SE+ and for patches out of Brass I Any ideas?

  • Hello wlasoen!

I guess that the C# is a keyswitch that is either generated by the Human Playback Preferences or by a keyswitch that you have added from the keyswitch dump file yourself. If everything is set up correctly, the Bass Trombone should not receive keyswitches in the low range. Could it be that you have the Bass Trombone on a Trombone staff instead of a Bass Trombone staff?

    Best regards,
    Andi
