  • VSL sequencer/Ableton

    Hi,

I have some questions(I looked into the tutorials and manual but did not faind answers).

-If you make several sequences in Pro 2 how can you switch between them? Pressing the green pianokeys does not work.

-Is it possible to play two different matrix-instruments at once?

-You can play the Pro 2 sequencer with a pianokey in Ableton, if you loop for instance 4 bars with one key than you can play for bars of the VSL sequencer. is it possible to play different VSL instruments at the same time in the sequencer with different pianokeys in Ableton?

    Greetz,

    Guido

  • Hi Guido,

    1) Depending on your setup, you can switch between different sequences by using the Y-Axis keyswitches (green). Did you make sure you are using the right octave?

    2) You can play one matrix at a time.

    3) If I understood the third question correctly: Yes, you can play multiple sequences if you insert multiple VI PRO instruments. Each VI PRO instance can access one sequence at a time (also with multiple MIDI Notes).

  • Hi Paul,

thanks for your answer. 2 and 3 understood but 1 still not. I assume when I have several sequences I can change by the green keys. So If I click with my mouse on one of them something should happen, no?

    Greetings,

    Guido

  • Hi Guido,

    AH, now I see.

No, in sequencer mode, the virtual keyboard is deactivated, you will need to send a MIDI note to trigger those keyswitches.

Also very cool, if you have a tablet: the VI PRO Remote App with a great sequencer operation GUI.
