  • VEPRO6 loosing audio connection to protools

After preparing a protools session with lots of instrument tracks, before going to studio to mix, it is usual to bounce all instrument tracks to audio (about 15 tracks). After that I make these instrument tracks inactive. All those tracks were from VEPRO6, from outputs 3/4 to 31/32. Some days after the studio work it occured that some of the audio bounced tracks were not quite OK. So I went back to the session and re-activated the instrument tracks so that I could work on them again. There was no way to get them back alive. When clicking a midi note it would clearly register and produce (an unhearable) sound in the VEPRO GUI (meter registering), but in PT the meters remained still, no sound. I tried everything, restarting both PT and VEPRO, remaking all connections, no avail. Finally I could get the audio connection between the two back by creating a new Instrument pro in VEPRO, routing that to a new instrument track in PT and playing some notes on that track. Anyone else ever witnessed such behaviour?
