• VSL Percussion vs Special Edition

Hi, all Maybe I am wrong, is the Full library of Percussion sounds better than the percussion in SE? I am looking for better Harp, Glock & Celeste....

    Better than what exactly?

Is there an SE collection/bundle for just percussion?  I don't know.

The SE collections are sampled at whole tone whereas the full libraries are sampled at half tone which is kind of like the difference between a 6 megapixel image and a 12 megapixel image detail wise.  Also, you get many more options and variations with the full libraries so maybe it's more like the difference between a 6 megapizel image and a 24 megapixel but be sure to compare the sample content of each collection.

On the other hand, the whole tone half tone sampling may not make much of a noticible difference with percussion instruments.  I'm not sure🤔

In skilled hands the SE collections sound very good (take a listen to some of Mr. Peppercorn's works) but, to me, the SE collections are like diet VSL.
